Abstract :	The goal of this assignment is to present the volatility of exchange rates and theirimplications for the shipping industry through a bibliographic evaluation. Thefollowing is the structure of the work: The first chapter examines the marine economy,the second chapter discusses global shipping, the third chapter describes thesignificance of shipping funding, the fourth chapter explores the importance of parityin shipping and the final chapter reviews the conclusions. Ο σκοπός που έχει η παρούσα πτυχιακή είναι να παρουσιάσει την αστάθεια τηςσυναλλαγματικής ισοτιμίας και τις επιπτώσεις που παρουσιάζονται στον τομέα τηςναυτιλίας μέσα από την βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση. Η δομή της εργασίας είναι ωςεξής: στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται μια εισαγωγή στην οικονομία της ναυτιλίας, στοδεύτερο κεφάλαιο γίνεται αναφορά στην παγκόσμια ναυτιλία, στο τρίτο κεφάλαιοπαρουσιάζεται η σημασία που έχει η χρηματοδότηση για την ναυτιλία, στο τέταρτοκεφάλαιο παρουσιάζεται η σημασία της ισοτιμίας στην ναυτιλία και τέλοςπαρουσιάζονται τα συμπεράσματα.
